Ergonomic workspace solution with adjustable drawing board
The essence of this work is to demonstrate my user-experience approach to designing an office console. It was motivated by an inspiration to create a retro-modern design engineer's office environment.
The design features a modern office desk with an extension of an adjustable drawing board. All desks in the console system are designed to be self-adjusting based on the user's height to maintain optimal ergonomics.
Initial research focused on ergonomic standards for office furniture and the specific needs of design engineers. I studied anthropometric data to ensure the console would accommodate a wide range of users.
Multiple concepts were sketched exploring different configurations of the workspace. The goal was to balance functionality with aesthetic appeal while maintaining a clean, professional look.
Using SolidWorks, I created detailed 3D models of the console system. This phase included refining the mechanisms for height adjustment and testing the range of motion for the drawing board.
